| Summary | 0002012: [ATT] A feature that delete after 24 hours installing the ATT daemon | ||||
| Description | Hi Bcan, From SKB, a specific box not being upgraded in the field, so we have checked the box. It seems that the ATT daemon seems to be activated. After checking the ATT protocol, we found that there is an action that deletes the ATT daemon after 24 hours of installation. 1. Please check whether this action is performed within ATT or elsewhere. 2. Please explain how the feature that deletes after 24 hours works. Thank you. Kim | ||||

Hi Kim, 1. This feature is implemented in ATTDaemon. (installed from USB disk) 2. "deletes after 24 hours" only works while the box is NTP-synced. |
Hi Bcan, Thank you for explain. Additionally, could you let me know how to disable upgrade service? Please explain when you used command for disable upgrade service (ex. am force-stop or pm uninstall ...) Thank you. Kim |
Hi Bcan, Please let me know below questions. 1. Could you let me know how to disable upgrade service? Please let me know the command you used to disable the upgrade service. (ex. am force-stop or pm uninstall ...) 2. When ATTDaemon deletes after 24 hours, restoration the upgrade service? Thank you. Kim |
Hi Kim, 1. We use "am force-stop". 2. No, we don't restore the upgrade service. The behaviors after the event "deletes after 24 hours" are not defined in document. You can 1. reinstall ATTDaemon (insert USB disk) to finish the ATT test. or 2. do factory reset. |
Hi Bcan, 1. We use "am force-stop". => I have test with below command, but upgrade service is still working. Is it correct command? BFX-AT100:/ # am force-stop com.skb.btv.upgrade BFX-AT100:/ # ps -ef | grep upgrade system 11493 3408 4 12:53:54 ? 00:00:00 com.skb.btv.upgrade root 11529 10188 12 12:53:58 pts/0 00:00:00 grep upgrade BFX-AT100:/ # dumpsys package com.skb.btv.upgrade | grep stopped User 0: ceDataInode=231271 installed=true hidden=false suspended=false distractionFlags=0 stopped=false notLaunched=false enabled=0 instant=false virtual=false If I activate ATT daemon, the upgrade service's stopped status is true. // Activate ATT daemon dumpsys package com.skb.btv.upgrade | grep stopped User 0: ceDataInode=0 installed=false hidden=false suspended=false distractionFlags=0 stopped=true notLaunched=true enabled=0 instant=false virtual=false Thank you. Kim |

Hi Kim, Why do you want to know this in such detail? |
Hi Bcan, There are some boards that are not being upgraded, so SKB are asking us about the cause. Also SKB is asking us for a command that can create the same state. So I am asking you in detail. Please understand current status. Thank you. Kim |
Hi Kim, Please try "setprop vendor.vasott.stop_upgrade 1". We updated the way to trigger "am force-stop". |
Hi Bcan, I have tried "setprop vendor.vasott.stop_upgrade 1". Immediately after, I checked the property and the result as below: BFX-AT100:/ # setprop vendor.vasott.stop_upgrade 1 BFX-AT100:/ # getprop | grep upgrade [vendor.vasott.stop_upgrade]: [] dumpsys package result is not changed. BFX-AT100:/ # dumpsys package com.skb.btv.upgrade | grep stopped User 0: ceDataInode=231271 installed=true hidden=false suspended=false distractionFlags=0 stopped=false notLaunched=false enabled=0 instant=false virtual=false I'm wondering if ATT doesn't use the pm uninstall command. This is because when I used the pm uninstall command, it changed to the same state as when I activated the ATT daemon. BFX-AT100:/ # pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.skb.btv.upgrade Success BFX-AT100:/ # dumpsys package com.skb.btv.upgrade | grep stopped User 0: ceDataInode=0 installed=false hidden=false suspended=false distractionFlags=0 stopped=true notLaunched=true enabled=0 instant=false virtual=false Thank you. Kim |
Hi Kim, My mistake. Both commands are used. pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.skb.btv.upgrade am force-stop com.skb.btv.upgrade You can ignore "setprop vendor.vasott.stop_upgrade 1" and use "am force-stop" directly. |

Hi Bcan, Thank you for checking. I will close this ticket and let you know if SKB have any further questions. Thank you. Kim |
Hi Bcan, SKB wants to test two tasks by directly entering commands. If there are any commands that you use when performing the following two tasks in ATT, please let me know. 1. Revoke Authentication 2. Factory Default Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you. Kim |

Hi Bcan, Could you please update this issue? Thank you. Kim |
Hi Bacn Please check what JunGyu requested. https://btracker-cns.fii-foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=2012#c17017 It's not difficult, but SKB is complaining about not checking it quickly Thank you Yk.Jung |
Hi Bcan, Currently, SKB is assuming that some STBs distributed that have not been factory reset after completing the ATT test. Therefore, SKB is asking for the command that ATT uses for factory reset and revoke authentication. SKB is trying to create the same state directly and test it without using ATT. Please understand for asking in detail due to this situation, and we would like you to check if there is a command. Thank you. Kim |

Hi Mr. JunGyu Kim, Is there a JIRA on SKB system? Please share it and we can understand how to reply. Thanks! |
Hi Kerwin, Jira ticket : https://jira.skbroadband.com/browse/BPM-39208 Regarding the command my requested, I received the request directly by phone from the SKB manager. Thank you. Kim |
Hi Kim, Please try these commands 1. Revoke Authentication => am broadcast -a com.vasott.attdaemon.test10 2. Factory Default => am broadcast -a com.vasott.attdaemon.test24 |

Hi Bcan, Thank you for support. I will let you know if there are additional questions. Thank you. Kim |
